Investment immigration

Investment immigration application stage requirements:

  1. The main applicant demonstrates assets of at least NZ$5 million
  2. Reasonably explain the legal origin of the declared assets and provide proof
  3. Investment period 4 years
  4. The main applicant must reside for at least 117 days during the investment period
  5. All applicants must meet health and character requirements
  6. The main applicant must meet the English requirement

Investment stage requirements:

  1. After the in-principle approval of immigration, you must transfer the investment funds to New Zealand and complete the investment within 6 months. After completion, you can report to the Immigration Bureau
  2. Apply for a 5-year residence visa (investment time can be extended for 6 months once)

Investment immigration

To apply for this visa to live, work and invest in New Zealand, you must have at least NZ$15 million or equivalent weighted available assets or funds.

Acceptable Investment Allowed investment types include:

  1. Shares of New Zealand locally listed companies
  2. Charitable donations
  3. Managed funds (refer to the funds approved by the New Zealand Government Trade Development Board)
  4. Invest directly in New Zealand local businesses (refer to the optional investment opportunities published by the New Zealand Government Trade Development Council)
