Direct Residence Visa

Apply for this visa if you are currently working or if you have a job offer from a recognized employer and your position falls within level one of the Green List.

Its characteristics are:

  1. After the sponsored children obtain resident status, they can apply for parent immigration immediately without waiting for 3 years;
  2. You can submit your immigration application directly without going through EOI selection;
  3. There is no need to use the children’s income as collateral;
  4. There is no English requirement;
  5. Unlike the parent reunification category, children do not need to bear the ten-year financial guarantee period.

Basic application requirements for New Zealand Parent Retirement Immigration Visa:

  1. The adult children are resident in New Zealand and have New Zealand resident or citizenship status, and the applicant has no other minor children;

  3. The applicant has made a business investment of SGD 1 million in New Zealand and lasted for 4 years (purchasing a home is not an investment);
  4. The applicant has any form of assets exceeding SGD 500,000 as settlement expenses (no need to prove legal sources, no need to transfer to New Zealand).

Other additional application requirements include:

After the application is approved in principle, the investment funds will be transferred to New Zealand through bank channels within 12 months;

Things to note when applying for parents’ retirement immigration:

  1. The New Zealand Parent Retirement Investment Immigration Application is not so much a "retirement immigration" as it is a kind of "investment immigration". It does not require parents to retire before applying, and the application is reviewed by the Business Immigration Bureau in accordance with the general investment immigration ideas;
  2. There are no specific requirements for immigration supervision for retired immigrants;
  3. In the application, when it comes to proving the legality of the source of funds, materials need to be prepared carefully, including in the later transfer stage. Since China has foreign exchange controls, applicants must strictly follow the requirements of the Immigration Bureau to handle every step and provide relevant evidence.
