Similar to USCIS long-term immigrant shortage list  LTSSL，the list stipulates the occupation and the prerequisites required for that occupation. But the green list is a simplified version  LTSSL, only for applicants’ positions/salary/registration required. The applicant’s work experience is not  LTSSL complicated. Green list occupations have special facilitation policies in applying for work visas and immigration; as well as spouse visa rights.

【Work Permit】When an employer is recruiting for a green list position and sponsors an AEWV， there is no need of Labour Market Test , that is, there is no need to advertise for recruitment to prove that local people are not suitable for this position. Employers can skip JobCheck stage, after obtaining accreditation directly apply for a work permit for the employee and perform a migrant check.This will greatly speed up visa processing and bring certainty to applicants.

【migrant】Green list positions will be immigrated quickly through simplified immigration procedures. There are two immigration methods:Fast Track to Residence 【fast immigration】 & Work to Residence【work to apply for immigration after 2 years】 Applicants are still under age at the time of submission of application under 55 years old.

【Spouse Work Permit】The spouse of an applicant working in a green list position can obtain a spouse work visa with the same duration as the main applicant. They can work in any job in New Zealand, and of course they can also work and stay in New Zealand.
